A 59-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the alleged abduction of a 14-year-old girl in Long Beach, which triggered an Amber Alert.
Authorities announced the suspect’s capture in an update on X (formerly Twitter) shortly after 5:30 p.m., stating, “The subject has been located.”
The Amber Alert was initially issued around 4:30 p.m. across Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura counties and was canceled about an hour later.
According to the Inglewood Police Department, the suspect, identified as Edward Mason, was apprehended in the Garden Grove area. Further details about the arrest were not disclosed.
Police confirmed that the teenager, Nevaeh Holden, was found safe at a relative’s home.
The case remains under investigation.
