CHICAGO, Illi. (DDN) – This Monday, a boy who is 17 years old was taken into custody for robbing and assaulting at least four persons when they were riding on CTA trains a month ago.
There are a total of four felony counts of robbery against the teenager, three felony counts of aggravated battery to transit passengers or personnel, and one felony count of aggravated battery causing substantial bodily damage. All of these charges are serious allegations.
Two separate occurrences occurred on January 5 and are the basis for the allegations.
The teenager is accused of robbing and assaulting three individuals, two of whom were 19 years old and one of whom was 20 years old, when they were riding a CTA train in the 100 block of West 35th Street at approximately 5:30 p.m. on that day.
It has been reported that additional criminals were involved in the crime, as stated by the police.
In a different incident that took place around fifteen minutes earlier in the 200 block of West Garfield Boulevard, the adolescent is also suspected of robbing and assaulting a senior citizen who was 45 years old.
The child was taken into custody by law enforcement professionals on Wednesday afternoon in the 6400 block of South Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive.
Due to the fact that the kid is being charged as a juvenile, his identity has not been made public at this time. However, more information regarding the other suspects who were involved in the occurrences is yet unknown.
