DDN – A crash that occurred early in the morning resulted in the death of a young man who was 18 years old, according to officials with the Greensboro Police Department.

Officers, along with the Greensboro Fire Department and Guilford County Emergency Medical Services, reported that they responded to an overturned vehicle that was on fire in the 3700 block of Holts Chapel Road on Wednesday morning at about five o’clock.

On Holts Chapel Road, Jaden Buie, who was 18 years old at the time, was operating a Kia Sorento when he went completely off the road to the right.

According to the authorities, the vehicle collided with a tree, flipped over, and then caught fire.

“Buie passed away at the scene.”
It was determined by the authorities that the accident was caused by excessive speed.

The Crash Reconstruction Unit of the GPD is conducting an investigation.
