, on Saturday, Jack Dobbins of Waterville Valley, driving a 2015 Ford Focus, was clocked at 104 mph and initiated a pursuit after ignoring Trooper Nathaniel Perkins’ attempts to pull him over.

Attempting to escape, the suspect’s desperate efforts led him through residential neighborhoods, where after making a U-turn, he collided with and incapacitated Trooper Perkins’ marked cruiser, endangering both the officer and his K9 companion. Dobbins continued to elude capture, recklessly driving towards an officer outside their cruiser and attempting to conceal his car in a driveway. It was reported that, in a further attempt to flee, he repeatedly struck a second police cruiser before getting stuck.

Ultimately, the 45-minute chase ended when Dobbins was apprehended. He faces charges including disobeying an officer, reckless driving, driving after revocation or suspension, and multiple felony counts of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon. Dobbins was treated for minor injuries on the scene, and the authorities have held him at the Grafton County Department of Corrections after he refused bail. Notably, there were no other injuries reported during the incident.

The New Hampshire State Police solicited the public for information that could aid the ongoing investigation. Troopers from the Troop F, D, and E barracks, as well as police officers from local departments such as Campton, Thornton, Plymouth, Plymouth State University, Ashland, and Holderness, were recognized for their assistance. Anyone with potentially relevant information is being encouraged to contact Trooper Nathaniel Perkins at (603) 451-9543.
