19-Year-Old Arrested Following Carjacking, Police Chase, and Crash in Southfield

SOUTHFIELD, Mich. (DDN) – Hubbie Marion, a 19-year-old man, was arrested by the Southfield police. They claim that he stole a car from a resident last week and then led them on a high-speed chase.

On Friday, January 31, the event took place in the vicinity of Negaunee Street and Shiawassee Road.

According to the Southfield police, Marion went up to the victim in their driveway and asked that they give them their automobile.

The police were able to identify and pursue the stolen automobile before Marion wrecked it into a ditch.

Marion was seen in the dashcam video attempting to escape with a gun. He was then struck by one of the police cruisers, which allowed the authorities to take him into custody.

Marion has been accused of committing several felonies:

  • Felony Carjacking.
  • 3 counts of felony firearm.
  • Felony flee and elude 3rd degree.
  • Felony weapons, carrying concealed.
  • Felony assault with a dangerous weapon (FA).
  • 2 counts of felony resisting and obstructing a police officer.
  • Driving with suspended license.

The 19-year-old has a bond of $500,000 cash/surety and is scheduled to appear in court again on February 14 at 9 a.m.
