PALM COAST, Flo. (DDN) – After a collision on Interstate 95 in Palm Coast that involved five vehicles, a young man of 19 years of age was killed.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the collision took place on Thursday evening shortly after 10 o’clock.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a male who was 24 years old was driving north on Interstate 95 at Palm Coast Parkway when he ran off the interstate, then swerved back onto I-95, and crashed into the back of the automobile that was driven by a 19-year-old.
The 19-year-old driver then lost control of the vehicle, collided with another vehicle, flipped over, and was then struck head-on by a fourth vehicle that was engaged in the collision.

Upon arrival at the scene, the driver, who was 19 years old, was pronounced dead.
The individual who was driving the first car that collided with the back of his vehicle, who is 24 years old, has sustained minor injuries.
A fifth vehicle that was involved in the collision sustained some minor damage.
An investigation is being conducted into the crash.
