Ottawa County, Michigan (DDN) – Early Sunday morning, the Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of an iPhone crash notice in the Allendale area of 60th Avenue near Lincoln Street.
Deputies arrived on the scene and discovered a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee that had collided with a tree near the dead end of 60th Ave before reaching the Grand River.
The driver mistook 60th Ave for the adjoining 68th Ave.
The vehicle’s only occupant was recognized as a 19-year-old Casnovia resident who was unresponsive.
The patient was sent to Corewell Health Grand Rapids with critical but non-life-threatening injuries.
