(CBS DETROIT)A 2-year-old was shot in the thigh on Tuesday night on Detroit’s east side, and police are looking into the incident.
The 500 block of Dickerson Avenue is where the shooting took place. Darius Lacey has been identified as the person of interest that police are currently looking for.
Following the shooting, Lacey, who dated the child’s mother, reportedly drove away from the house in a black Dodge Charger, according to the police. Before he fled, Detroit police said he was last seen with two other people.

According to police, a domestic argument was the cause of the shooting. They claim that Lacey and the other two met the child’s mother and her new boyfriend when they went to the house to transfer items out. According to the police, the toddler was caught in the crossfire when an argument resulted in gunfire.
The toddler was rushed to the hospital, according to the police, and is classified as being in stable condition.
