Authorities claim that a man in Waterford Township, age 21, sexually assaulted four boys. He is now being charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Detectives detained Logan Sutherland at his residence on Tuesday, according to Waterford police. To look into a complaint of criminal sexual activity involving a 10-year-old kid, detectives visited his home. According to the police, Sutherland had up to 40 occasions between 2021 and 2023 when he was by himself with the youngster.
Since the arrest, three more victims have come forward. These victims, according to police, were beaten in a number of places, including Sutherland’s house, ZapZone, Sportway, and Commerce Township’s SkyZone.
Sutherland was known to all four victims. According to police, he “befriended parents with young boys, gained their confidence and used their trust to spend time alone and sexually assault the children.”
When Sutherland’s cell phone was taken by detectives after the arrest, they discovered images and videos of nude boys. According to the police, the four victims who have come forward are not the boys shown in the images.
Anyone with children who may have spent time with Sutherland is asked to contact Waterford police at 248-618-6122 and speak with Detective Rachel White.
There are four counts of second-degree criminal sexual behavior against the 21-year-old. The maximum sentence for each count is 15 years in jail.
