28-Year-Old Woman Killed in Franklin Township Crash, Investigation Ongoing by NJ Officials

SOMERSET COUNTY, N.J. (DDN) – Somerset County Prosecutor John P. McDonald announced that a woman from North Plainfield, who was 28 years old, died in a two-car crash on South Middlebush Road early Saturday morning.

After receiving many 911 calls of a significant crash, Township officers arrived at the area of South Middlebush Road near Jacques Lane at approximately 2:49 a.m.

Emergency services found the driver of a 2020 orange Dodge Charger, who was pronounced on the site.

According to the authorities, the driver of the black 2008 Volvo tractor-trailer that was involved was not hurt.

An investigation is presently being conducted to determine the cause of the crash.
