3 Dead in Willow Spring Crash; Two Ejected After Pickup Hits Trees

WILLOW SPRING, N.C. (DDN) – According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, authorities are conducting an investigation into an incident that occurred near Willow Spring and involved one vehicle. The crash resulted in three fatalities.

By 1:15 in the morning, the North Carolina Department of Transportation issued a warning. Stameys Walk, which is located just a couple of miles south of Willow Spring, was the location where troopers responded to a crash that occurred on Kennebec Road at Plum Bush Court on Friday.

It has been confirmed by the State Highway Patrol that the collision resulted in the deaths of three individuals.

After conducting a preliminary investigation, a trooper who was present at the site told CBS 17 that they thought that alcohol and speeding were factors in the accident. In addition, the findings of their inquiry revealed that the pick-up truck passed through the double lines, went off the road, and collided with two enormous cedar trees.

As soon as the troopers arrived, all three of the people who were inside the truck were pronounced dead, including two people who had been thrown out of the vehicle, according to their investigation. The two individuals who were ejected from the vehicle were not wearing seatbelts, according to the troopers.

A tow truck was being put onto the highly damaged vehicle that was being investigated by the state troopers who were still actively investigating the collision when CBS 17 arrived on the site.
