31-Year-Old Man Flees Police, Crashes Into Telephone Pole and Dies in Bradenton (1)

WESLACO, Tex. (DDN) – The Texas Department of Public Safety is looking into a motorcycle accident that happened on Thursday on FM 2220, north of Nopal Street, north of McAllen in Hidalgo County. The crash resulted in the death of a Texas resident.

A Suzuki motorcycle with a man on it was heading north on FM 2220 and was getting close to a curve, according to a news release from the DPS. This was reported at approximately 7:52 p.m. A Toyota Rav 4, which was being driven by the driver, was driving southbound on FM 2220 and was also approaching the curve.

The first inquiry showed that the motorcycle had swerved into the opposing lane and crashed with the Toyota.

Sergio Cuellar Torres, a 31-year-old man from McAllen, was the motorcyclist. He was not wearing a helmet or any protective gear.

He was taken to Doctor’s Hospital at Renaissance, where he died from the injuries he sustained.

DPS Troopers are continuing their investigation into this deadly accident.
