WINFIELD, Wis.(DDN) – A woman, 49 years old, crashed into several trees off the road after she was unable to make a turn. She died early Wednesday morning.
The Sauk County Communications Center got a report of a single-vehicle crash near CTH K at Gavin Road in Winfield at approximately 5:15 a.m. on Wednesday, according to the Sauk County Sheriff’s Office.
The Reedsburg Fire Department and Ambulance Service, as well as deputies from the Sheriff’s Office, were dispatched to the location. The first investigations showed that an SUV that was going north on CTH K was unable to make a turn and slammed into many trees off the road.
The driver, who was the only person in the vehicle, was a 49-year-old lady from Reedsburg. She died at the site.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing. No other information was given.
