(CBS DETROIT) A crash in Chesterfield Township on Saturday night has left five individuals, including two children, in critical condition.
According to the Chesterfield Police Department, at around 7:48 p.m., police were called to the scene of an accident at the intersection of 21 Mile Road and Gratiot Avenue that resulted in injuries.
The front end of a Chevy Blazer and a Toyota pickup vehicle had significant damage, according to responding cops.
One person in the Blazer and a 9-year-old youngster who was riding in the truck are hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
After being transported to the hospital, the three other people in the truck—two adults and one child—were allowed to go.
According to police, drinking does not seem to have played a role in the collision.
