56-Year-Old Woman Killed in Anaheim Crash; Driver Arrested for DUI Manslaughter

ANAHEIM, Cali. (DDN) – During the weekend, a fatal vehicle accident occurred in Anaheim, and the police there arrested a lady on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

According to the Anaheim Police Department, the collision took place at approximately ten o’clock on Sunday evening at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Broadway. Due of this, a woman who was 56 years old was unable to escape from her red crossover SUV.

Even though firefighters were able to free her from her vehicle, she passed away at the hospital around one hour after the collision.

Additionally, the second driver, Samantha Farris, who was 29 years old and from Buena Park, was taken away by paramedics. It is believed by the officers that Farris made a left turn in front of the other car, based on the investigation that they conducted. .

According to the facts provided by witnesses, Farris may have been consuming alcohol at a neighboring establishment, as stated by the police.

Both felony driving under the influence and gross vehicular manslaughter charges were filed against her. She was released from the hospital on Monday, and she posted bond the following day.

However, detectives stated that they would send the case to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. As of Monday, prosecutors had not yet filed any charges against her with the court.
