60-Year-Old Woman Killed with Two Injured in West Dodge Road Crash; Road Closed after Accident

OMAHA, Neb. (DDN) – Due to the snowy circumstances on Monday, West Dodge Road in Elkhorn was closed after a collision that resulted in the death of one person and the injury of two others.

As stated by the investigators, a pickup truck from 1996 Chevrolet K1500 that was being driven by a man who was sixty years old was traveling westbound on West Dodge Road when it veered off the road and spun out.

After that, the truck became caught on a guardrail close to the Skyline Drive bridge, according to the Omaha police. Because of the intensity of the accident, the vehicle was knocked over onto its side.

According to the Omaha police, the front seat passenger, a woman who was sixty years old, was partially ejected and was pronounced deceased at the site of the accident.

According to the authorities, the driver and the passenger in the front middle seat, a kid aged ten, were sent to Bergan Mercy Hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life-threatening.

Highway 275 in the eastbound direction is currently closed from 240th Street to Skyline Drive, according to a statement posted on social media by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.

Around 11:30 in the morning, Skyline Drive and West Dodge Road were both reopened.
