62-Year-Old Virginia Woman Killed in Greensboro Crash with Raleigh Driver; Probe Ongoing

GREENSBORO, NC (DDN) – According to authorities, a woman from Virginia died this week following a head-on accident with a guy from Raleigh in Greensboro.

According to a recent news release from the Greensboro Police Department, they received a report of a crash involving injuries on January 17 at approximately 9:34 p.m. They rushed to the vicinity of East Gate City Boulevard and Moody Street.

According to investigators, Marcia Love, 62, from Virginia, was driving a Toyota Prius in the opposite direction on East Gate City Boulevard.

A 22-year-old from Raleigh was driving a Mazda CX-5 when it collided head-on with a Prius.

Both drivers were injured and sent to hospitals. Love died on Monday from injuries that were caused by the crash.

It is thought that impairment played a role in the crash.

The Mazda driver was treated for minor injuries and will not be charged with anything.
