Maine State Credit Union Announces Major Discounts and Business Lending Expansion

Maine State Credit Union is happy to share that its commercial lending team is growing. Bruce Harrington has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending, and Brandon Clark has been promoted to Assistant Vice President, Commercial Lending.

“Bruce has spent the last seven years developing a strong team for commercial and small business lending,” said Stephen Wallace, CEO and President of Maine State Credit Union. “Their main focus is to assist business owners in Maine in growing their businesses and contributing to Maine’s economy, all while upholding the values of the Credit Union industry.”

Maine State Credit Union has been a leader in offering personalized lending services to small businesses since 2016. Bruce Harrington has been leading a team that represents the values of credit unions in a highly competitive industry. The credit union originally started in Waterville and Augusta. It has now expanded to include the Rockland market in 2022 by adding Jeff Charland as Vice President of Commercial Lending to the team.

Brandon Clark joined as a commercial lender in 2023 and has been promoted to Assistant Vice President this year. He has expertise in lending and knowledge of the Augusta market. He will keep giving attention to the Augusta area and collaborate with Charland to promote growth in the mid-coast region.

Nichole Lee, who used to be the branch manager of the Waterville and Gray branches, has now moved into commercial lending. She is now a business lender, working alongside Karin Warren, who is an AVP in commercial lending in the Waterville area.

“Small businesses are very important to Maine,” said Bruce Harrington. “Having a strong team of lenders, analysts, and support staff is important to me because relationships and service are crucial.” We assist business owners with the lending process, including working with organizations like the Finance Authority of Maine (FAME) and the Small Business Administration (SBA). We can also help secure financing for new equipment or expansion. Our team is available to assist them throughout the entire process.

The commercial lending team is growing by adding new lenders, analysts, and support staff. This expansion will help them better serve the individual needs of business owners and also introduce new products and tools to make banking easier for them. Maine State Credit Union has introduced a new tool called remote deposit capture (RDC) to make banking easier for its customers.
