Many 4th of July festivities will be kicking off across Central Florida this week.
The City of Kissimmee on Thursday will be hosting its annual celebration featuring live performances, food trucks – and fireworks.

Victoria Valledor with Osceola County Animal Services said she recommends buying anxiety medications or calming treats and keeping your pets inside.

“If your pet gets anxious during fireworks, we recommend going to your veterinarian. They can prescribe different medication to alleviate that anxiety,” she said. “They have thunder jackets you can put on, making sure there’s an area in your home that’s nice and quiet if they need to.”
