A woman was injured in a shooting in Mount Pleasant, according to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department. The 33-year-old victim was shot while walking in the 4400 block of Alaska around 1 p.m. yesterday. 

The woman told police she heard a gunshot from behind before feeling pain and realizing she had been shot. EMS arrived quickly, and she was taken to the hospital in stable condition. The police are investigating the incident.
