The New York Police Department is seeking the public’s help in the search for an 80-year-old man who has gone missing in Brooklyn. Zhen-An Xian, who speaks Cantonese and is described as thin and 5’02” tall, was last seen this past Sunday at around 2 PM. Notably, he was wearing a blue baseball cap, a blue jacket, dark blue pants, black shoes, and was walking with a cane.
In their social media post, the NYPD Missing Persons unit urged anyone with information to come forward. “Any info call 800-577-Tips,” the NYPD’s post stated, accompanied by a photo of Mr. Xian in his last known attire. Local concern has grown as the days pass, with community members spreading the word and fliers with Xian’s photo. He is a known presence in the neighborhood, and his disappearance has left many, worried about his wellbeing.
The NYPD has not released further details about the circumstances surrounding Mr. Xian’s disappearance. The NYPD has reportedly been combing through surveillance footage and checking local hospitals and shelters, hoping for a clue that might lead to Xian’s whereabouts.
