Three Teens Fatally Shot in Southwest Houston Apartment Complex as Police Seek Persons of Interest

Tragedy struck the Alief neighborhood in southwest Houston last night when three teenagers were fatally shot at the Tierra Del Sol Apartments. The shooting occurred around 7:45 p.m. at 8000 Cook Road. Houston police found two victims inside the apartment’s laundry facility, where they were pronounced dead at the scene, according to Click2Houston.

The third victim, found outside the laundry room, sustained serious injuries. He was swiftly taken to an emergency room, where he too succumbed to his wounds and was declared deceased. Assistant Chief Alvaro Guzman of the Houston Police Department described the events as “a very tragic event here. We have family that’s here, we have young lives that have been lost,” in a statement obtained by KHOU. He urged the public to keep the victims’ families in their thoughts and prayers.

Detectives are investigating the shooting, which is believed to have stemmed from a dispute between two groups. Initial reports suggest the violence began after a disturbance at a laundromat used by apartment residents, leading to the fatal gunfire.

In the wake of the shooting, police are seeking two persons of interest, believed to be teenagers or young adults in their late teens or early 20s. One weapon was recovered from the laundromat, but details about the suspects remain limited. The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to determine the events and motives behind the shooting.
