Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Pickup Truck in Fort Gratiot Township Accident

A fatal incident occurred in Fort Gratiot Township where an unidentified man was struck and killed by a pickup truck.

reports that the event took place just before midnight on 24th Avenue near Cherryhill Drive.

Responding to the scene, deputies from the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office and medical personnel discovered the man on the roadway, where he was pronounced dead.

mentioned that the victim was walking in the right travel lane of the road going north when the collision happened. The involved vehicle was a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado, also heading north.

Investigators have disclosed that the driver of the Silverado, a 62-year-old man from Deckerville, has cooperated fully with authorities and remained at the crash site. As reported by
