Lake Havasu City to Salute Veterans with Parade; Road Closures Announced for November 11

Lake Havasu City is set to honor its veterans with a parade and ceremony on Monday, November 11. The public commemoration, which partners with VFW Post #9401, acknowledges the courage and service of the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces. The Veterans Day Parade will begin its march at 9:00 a.m., moving along McCulloch Boulevard, necessitating temporary road closures in the area.

For those planning to attend or pass through, be aware that McCulloch Boulevard will be closed from Acoma Boulevard to Capri Boulevard starting at 7:00 a.m. and is expected to reopen around 11:00 a.m. A subsequent ceremony is set for 11:00 a.m. at the VFW Post #9401 headquarters on 266 London Bridge Road. This event will also prompt road closures on London Bridge Road, from the Hampton Inn south parking lot to Palo Verde Boulevard South, lasting from 10:00 a.m. to about 1:30 p.m, according to

With Veteran’s Day being a federal holiday, city offices will also take a pause from their regular operations on November 11. While Police and Fire Department services will continue without interruption, administrative offices will not. The Aquatic Center is the exception, remaining open exclusively for scheduled swim lessons. Services will resume normal schedules come Tuesday, November 12, including trash and recycling which will not see any disruptions due to the holiday.

In preparing for the day’s activities, Lake Havasu City officials request additional caution from those navigating the impacted areas. They advise paying close attention to signage, and guidance provided by volunteers and law enforcement officials. The community takes this time not only to celebrate but also to remind one another of the commitment and sacrifices made by veterans and those in active military service. To echo the sentiments
