Buckle up, Brookline residents and commuters: Edgebrook Avenue is getting a facelift. According to the
City of Pittsburgh
, the Department of Mobility and Infrastructure is setting up shop from Timberland Avenue to Bellaire Avenue, and they’ll be starting bright and early on Monday, November 11th, at 7 a.m. You’ll have to wait until Friday, November 15th, at 3 p.m. for the grand reopening, as the avenue will be closed to through traffic for some much-needed paving work.
Not all is lost—the closure isn’t a total lockdown. Local traffic can still carefully pass through to reach homes, and emergency services have access as needed. Drivers should pay attention to traffic signs to help navigate detours smoothly.
