A recent episode of road rage in Glen Burnie resulted in the death of a man after a motorcyclist who had a permit to carry a gun shot him amid a hammer-wielding attack. The incident occurred last night near the intersection of Route 10 and Furnace Branch Road. Anne Arundel County police were called to the scene at approximately 8:20 p.m.

The confrontation started when Scott David Guhse, 51, of Glen Burnie, was reportedly tailgating and driving erratically behind the 22-year-old motorcyclist. According to a

report, the victim claimed that Guhse nearly crashed into him. The motorcyclist was then forced to pull off the road where the subsequent altercation took place.

It is alleged by the motorcyclist that upon stopping, Guhse exited his vehicle with a hammer and charged at him. In response, the motorcyclist drew his licensed handgun and fired shots, resulting in Guhse’s death at the scene. Officials detailed that the motorcyclist, who remained at the scene, was carrying a Maryland concealed handgun carry permit.
