These exercises will take place at a vacant home located at 12544 2nd Ave NW, running from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to a recent announcement from the department.

The training is designed to give firefighters hands-on experience with managing high-intensity fires under controlled conditions and close supervision. In preparation, the department has been notifying nearby residents personally about the exercise and potential temporary disruptions, including possible road closures in the vicinity. Residents are advised that temporary inconveniences, such as brown water due to sediment stirred up by the exercises, may occur but are expected to resolve within a few hours.
