The Houston Police Department Special Victims Division is actively seeking public assistance to help identify a suspect linked to a string of sexual assaults in the West Gulf Bank area of north Houston. According to a

, five separate incidents have been reported, with the suspect described as a black male in his 20s. In efforts to quickly apprehend the individual, law enforcement officials have released surveillance footage and a photo of the suspect to the public.
The first reported assault took place on August 14 at about 6:30 a.m. at an apartment complex located at 5454 West Gulf Bank Road. There, a woman was assaulted inside her apartment by an intruder who had entered before she returned home. The incidents continued with a similar pattern of forced entries and assaults, including a harrowing situation on October 9, around 7 p.m., when the suspect, armed with a gun, forced entry into an apartment at 5300 West Gulf Bank Road. The Houston Police describe an additional assault occurring at 5350 West Gulf Bank Road on October 17, where around 2 p.m., a knock at the door preceded a forced entry by a ski-masked suspect wielding a gun. Another attack followed only a week later, on October 24, again at the same address and once more involving a suspect who forced their way into a woman’s home.
The most recent assault took place on November 8, shortly after 7:30 a.m. at 3434 West Little York Road. The suspect gained access through an unlocked door, continuing a terrorizing series that places the community on edge. The Houston Police Department, adamant about halting these egregious violations, urges anyone with information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to come forward. They have provided contacts for the HPD Special Victims Division at 713-308-1180 and encouraged anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
