A 44-year-old DC man has been handed a 13-year prison sentence for an unprovoked assault on a senior citizen psychiatrist at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, as per the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia. On Thursday, Anthony Braxton received his sentence following a conviction by a jury for aggravated assault; U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves and MPD Chief Pamela A. Smith announced this.

In addition to the prison term, Honorable Judge Andrea Hertzfeld mandated three years of supervised release for Braxton after his incarceration period concluded.
