The somber air that has befallen Duluth was felt throughout as the Duluth Police Department disseminated details of a tragedy that has left an indelible mark on the community. According to a

and subsequent updates provided by the department, the lives of Erin Abramson, 47, and Jacob Nephew, 15, were tragically cut short; both found within a residence on Tacony Street suffering gunshot wounds that proved fatal.
Investigations led law enforcement officers to a second location at the 4400 block of West 6th Street, where another dreadful scene unfolded. Kathryn Nephew, 45 along with her young child, Oliver Nephew, 7, were discovered deceased from wounds parallel in nature to those inflicted upon the Tacony Street victims. In the aftermath, the suspect, 46-year-old Anthony Nephew was found dead from what the authorities indicate was a self-inflicted injury.
