Lewisville Invites Community to Old Town Holiday Stroll, Parade Participants and Volunteers Wanted

The city has opened its doors for community participation in the festive season, calling all hands to deck the halls—and streets—with holiday spirit for the upcoming Old Town Holiday Stroll, as initially reported this November. The event, slated for December 6th and 7th in the historic Old Town Lewisville, seeks parade applicants and volunteers to ensure this year’s celebration surpasses the last. The grand parade, a community favorite set for 1 p.m. on Saturday, remains a centerpiece, showcasing floats and vehicles decked out in at least 50 percent holiday finery.

has opened applications for the Huffines Auto Dealerships Lewisville Christmas Parade, which can be found on the city’s website. Anyone interested has until December 2 to apply. The city is also looking for volunteers to help with the event, and details are available on the “Special Events & Festival” page of the site.

Friday, December 6, will be packed with holiday fun, starting at 5 p.m. with the Children’s Entrepreneur Market. The evening will feature the “Lewisville Lights!” lighting ceremony at 6:30 p.m., followed by a screening of Home Alone at 6:45 p.m. in the plaza. On Saturday, the celebration continues with “Breakfast with Santa” at 9 a.m., along with kids’ activities, Winter Carnival rides, and live music.
