Minneapolis residents can expect a mix of sunny skies and rainy days this week according to the latest weather forecast. Today’s sunny weather, with highs near 49 degrees, will shift as winds pick up from the south southeast at 10 to 15 mph, occasionally gusting up to 25 mph. As the evening rolls in, temperatures are predicted to drop to around 39 degrees with continuing southeast winds.

The week presses on with mostly cloudy skies on Thursday and a high nearing 48 degrees. Later that night, the clouds are expected to part slightly, giving way to partly cloudy conditions with lows around 36 degrees. The northwest wind will stay calm, hovering around 5 mph.

Come Friday, we’re back to mostly sunny skies with temperatures aiming to hit the 52-degree mark. It’s a hopeful break from the rain, though a calm wind will eventually shift to become southeast in the morning. Friday night will possibly take a gloomier turn, the sky becoming mostly cloudy and temperatures dipping into the low 40s as a southeast wind takes over at 5 to 10 mph.

As we slide into the weekend, conditions seem to moderately improve. Saturday offers partly sunny skies with highs in the mid-50s and a steady southeast wind. The night forecast mirrors earlier patterns, remaining mostly cloudy with a low around 41 degrees. Sunday continues the trend of mostly sunny weather with highs again near 49 degrees. A chance of rain appears on the horizon by Monday, though the sun is set to mostly hold its ground, with a high near 50 degrees to start the new week.
