Crimestoppers of Greater New Orleans has raised its reward to $10,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of a suspect in the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Andrew Davis IV on August 17 in Harvey. Authorities have identified 27-year-old Lavanta Carto as a suspect in a case involving second-degree murder, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, attempted armed robbery, and being a felon in possession of a firearm. The investigation into the robbery that led to Davis being shot suggests that Carto and possibly other suspects were involved. Davis and a witness reached a business parking lot on Manhattan Boulevard, where Davis later died from his injuries.
