Gallt officially began his leadership role on Monday, and his resume features almost three decades of experience in civil engineering. His expertise has been honed on large-scale transportation infrastructure initiatives, including highways and urban roadway systems.

Before his recent appointment, Gallt plied his trade in Corpus Christi, where he steered the Public Works Department’s Traffic Planning Group. Tasked with managing the city’s comprehensive transportation agenda, Gallt’s role was critical in giving the nod to roadway-related bond projects, master plan documents, and upholding engineering practices. Among his previous tenures, he boasts experience in diverse locales — including a stint in Mesquite itself as a Traffic Engineering Manager, in Waco for the same position, as well as posts in Aurora, Ill. as a City Traffic Engineer and in Plainfield, Ill. as a Transportation Engineer.
