Michigan State Police relayed that the motorcyclist was proceeding north when he struck the rear end of the service truck also heading in the same direction, this collision resulted in the motorcyclist being thrown from his bike, and the events unfolded in the early hours when light and traffic were yet to swell into the bustle of midday.

The driver of the service truck, also a 53-year-old man hailing from Dundee, was unharmed in the incident, MSP confirmed.
