‘s media advisory, patrol officers were dispatched at approximately 8:50 a.m. to the 500 block of East Preston Street after receiving a shooting report.

On arrival, they discovered an unresponsive male victim with what appeared to be a gunshot wound. Despite promptly being transported to an area hospital, the victim, whose identity has yet to be released, was pronounced dead. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, and authorities are now urging anyone with any information to come forward to aid the ongoing homicide investigation quickly.
