A high-speed chase in Kenner led to the arrest of an 18-year-old Texas man identified as Jerry Hickman, after he reportedly stole a blue Dodge Charger and subsequently caused a traffic incident on I-10 eastbound.

reported that the chase began on Tuesday afternoon when Kenner Police Department officers observed the vehicle speeding and running through a red light in the 4300 block of Williams Boulevard. Despite attempts to stop Hickman, using lights and sirens, he continued to flee, leading to a pursuit.

Hickman, who was allegedly employed to transport cars, changed his course of duty when he took the Charger from a Baton Rouge location and drove to Kenner, as per details from the
