The Plymouth Metrolink has announced that all fixed routes and on-demand services will be taking a break during several upcoming holidays, specifically on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

If you’re relying on public transport to navigate the festivities, be aware that there will be no Metrolink services operating on Thursday, Nov. 28 (Thanksgiving Day), Wednesday, Dec. 25 (Christmas Day), and Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025 (New Year’s Day). According to the notice published on

Limited service will be provided a day after Thanksgiving on Nov. 29, as well as on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, and New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31. These limited services include a specific set of trips on routes 774, 776, 790, 795, and 747, accommodating morning departures to downtown areas and afternoon returns. Travelers can expect to catch rides at specific times, mainly in the early mornings and mid-to-late afternoons.
