An 18-year-old from Wentzville, Missouri has died following a wrong-way collision in Lewis County last night, according to multiple reports. The Missouri State Highway Patrol stated that the teenager was driving southbound in the northbound lanes of U.S. Route 61 around 11:25 p.m. when his vehicle crashed into a semitruck.

The Lewis County Coroner’s office identified the victim as Antoni Wrobel, punishing a community with a stark reminder of the fragility of life on the road.
