, the coyote has shown signs of “stalking” and does not seem to be intimidated by human presence. The Highland Heights Police Department emphasized the importance of being exceptionally watchful when accompanied by small children or walking dogs.
The coyote encounter occurred yesterday evening around hole 14 near West Legend Court. Despite their typical presence in the area, this coyote’s behavior was enough to prompt police to advise residents not to walk alone, suggest carrying pepper spray, and urge constant awareness of one’s environment.
