Wright County Veteran Services Partners with VA to Host PACT Act Claims Clinic for Exposed Veterans in Buffalo

Wright County Veteran Services is joining forces with the Veterans Benefits Administration and St. Cloud Veterans Administration Office to provide support for veterans who have been exposed to toxic substances during their service. A PACT Act Claims Clinic is scheduled to take place on Thursday, Nov. 14, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the Wright County Government Center’s Conference Room 1900, located at 3650 Braddock Ave. NE, Buffalo. The clinic aims to assist veterans in understanding the expanded coverage granted under the PACT Act—formally known as the Heath Robinson Honoring our Promise to Address Comprehensive Toxics Act—which was enacted in 2022.

A critical service for veterans, the clinic will offer insights into the definition of toxic exposure, changes in health care eligibility, toxic exposure screenings and education, as well as research. It also aims to help veterans understand the presumption of service connection. According to a

statement provided by Wright County

, veterans seeking assistance should bring their DD-214 or discharge papers, along with any recent VA correspondence they may have queries about, such as rating decisions.

The clinic operates on a walk-in basis, but veterans have the option to schedule an appointment in advance. This is an opportunity for vets who have faced the damaging effects of substances such as burn pits and Agent Orange to receive the support they are entitled to. Those interested in securing a specific time slot can call (320) 255-6340 to pre-arrange their visit.
