Surveillance footage and evidence show that a 2010 Ford F-150, driven by 51-year-old Angela Haney of Las Vegas, was traveling eastbound when it struck a 92-year-old male pedestrian. The pedestrian, who was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk, entered the Ford’s lane unexpectedly, leading to the collision. The pedestrian was hit and thrown onto the road. Haney remained at the scene, showed no signs of impairment, and fully cooperated with the LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section.
The pedestrian was taken to the UMC Trauma Center in critical condition but later died from his injuries. This incident marks the 133rd traffic-related death in Las Vegas this year. The investigation into the fatal accident is ongoing. The identity of the deceased has been withheld pending next of kin notification.
