reports. Millennia, the real estate firm in charge of the Serenity Towers, is cited as lacking the funds to repair the elevators and currently exploring options including potential foreclosure.
During a court hearing, the attorney attending emphasized that while the elevator repairs are indeed feasible, the management has failed to secure the necessary business relationships to commence with such repairs, according to

. This gridlock happens amidst Millennia facing scrutiny, with federal authorities having raided the home of the company’s CEO last month, although the purpose of their search has not been disclosed.
The court-appointed Special Master Marcus Ward attested, “We don’t have an elevator repair problem. We have a credit problem,” signaling the deeper financial disarray within Millennia that has led to the current predicament; a crisis that is now requiring intervention from both local government agencies and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, the latter subsidizing many of the tower’s rents. An assembly with various stakeholders has been called to debate the imminent housing plan, wherein Millennia is to hire additional workers to provide round-the-clock assistance to the residents in their daily and medical requirements until relocation can be achieved, as reported by
