Authorities are on the lookout for a suspect involved in a shooting incident that took place during an unauthorized car meet in South Philadelphia’s 17th District last September. According to the

, the car meet, which took place on September 22, drew hundreds to the 2400 block of Washington Avenue and the 1000 block of S. 25th Street, leading to instances of vandalism on private property.

The situation escalated when one of the residents confronted the group about their destructive behavior, leading to them attacking the victim with punches and using traffic drums and cones as weapons. During this assault, it was reported that some suspects had firearms, and one individual was seen racking and discharging a gun into the air. The Philadelphia Police Department urges anyone with information to contact them using various channels, including phone at 215.686.TIPS (8477), through text or via an anonymous electronic form, emphasizes that all tips will be confidential.

Those viewing the footage should heed the police warning against approaching the suspects and instead contact 911 immediately should they possess any pertinent information regarding the identity or whereabouts of the individuals.
