During a recent patrol, Rancho Cordova Police made one arrest on drug-related offenses. While conducting a neighborhood surveillance, officers spotted a group of people handling alleged drug items near a parked automobile.
Officers discovered approximately 45 grams of fentanyl, 5 grams of Xanax, more than $550 in cash, and drug-related items after reaching out to the group, according to a Facebook post from the Rancho Cordova Police Department. Just one person was taken into custody and accused of possessing a controlled drug.
Many communities continue to worry about drug misuse, and local authorities utilize patrols to combat the problem. Investigations into the case are still ongoing.
