When Queen Creek locals learned about the Free Pancake Breakfast event, which had already ended, it caused a small disruption to their weekend plans. The news release meant to publicize the free breakfast, which also included the Touch-A-Truck experience and flu vaccines, was accidentally sent out after the event due to a technological glitch.
Officials quickly apologized for the misunderstanding and offered a clarification. The notice from the town said, “We apologize for the inconvenience,” once the confusion was discovered. Residents will have to wait until December to fully enjoy the approaching celebrations if they were unable to witness the syrup-slathered stacks and communal interaction. Fortunately, Queen Creek Town Hall reports that the town’s event calendar is as full as an overly excited pancake.
The QC Hometown Christmas, which will take place over two days at the Queen Creek Town Center at 21802 S. Ellsworth Road, will begin with a tree lighting on December 6 from 6 to 8 p.m. With a parade starting at 10 a.m. on December 7, the next day, the event promises to be exciting for locals of all ages.
