Yesterday afternoon, a fight between two men turned violent on Cleveland Avenue SW, with one person shooting and the other cutting. The Atlanta Police Department said that when they arrived at the scene at 3:22PM, they found a 23-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his left hand and a 25-year-old man with a stab wound to his left forearm. Both men were conscious and breathing when they were taken to the hospital for further care.
Initial investigations by the police suggest that an argument got worse, and one of the men pulled out a gun and hurt himself accidentally in the heat of the moment. This made the situation worse in ways that weren’t meant to be there. The investigation is still going on as the Aggravated Assault Unit tries to figure out what caused the rage.
The people are aware and conscious, but it’s not clear what their conditions are. Investigators are still putting together the events that led to this incident, even though it makes the city even more dangerous. As of now, no one has been arrested, and people in the area are confused about how an afternoon turned into a scene of injuries and police tape.
