No Injuries Reported After School Bus Collision in West Chester Township

After a collision involving a school bus from the Lakota Local School District, tensions were high, but thankfully, no one was hurt. According to The Enquirer, the incident happened in West Chester Township at the busy crossroads of Tylersville Road and Ohio 747. The incident happened shortly after the children of Lakota Plains Junior School were discharged, at approximately 2:30 p.m.

It has been verified that none of the pupils on the “pretty loaded” bus were hurt, even though the location is crowded and traffic is often heavy. “The intersection is ‘bustling,'” the report from The Enquirer claimed, citing township spokesperson Barb Wilson. In order to securely and quickly reroute the students home, officials worked to arrange alternative transportation in the aftermath.

In the meantime, conflicting information regarding the condition of the two people in the other car involved in the collision momentarily surfaced. West Chester Township officials then revised their first report, which indicated they were taken to the hospital. Before fixing the issue, WLWT-5 reported the inaccurate information for a limited period of time. They had really declined on-scene care, according to WLWT.com.

Parents were warned not to try to pick up their children right from the site as the district attempted to educate families about the experience. This may have been done to preserve a safe perimeter and enable unhindered emergency response. As required by WHIO and WLWT-5, a new bus was dispatched to obediently pick up and drop off the students at their individual residences. Despite causing anxiety, these episodes fortunately did not impair the future of the Lakota children.
