The tight-knit community of Irving, Texas, was caught in a harrowing web of fear that has recently seen some closure after the authorities announced a crucial break in an aggravated kidnapping and sexual assault case, with the suspect, a truck driver from California, now in custody after a multicity manhunt.
Additional details surfaced when theIrving Police Departmentshared a somber update via their social media on Wednesday. The suspect, hiding while working at a local business, was arrested in Tyler, Texas. He was identified as Patrick Francis Hoversten, an ordinary-looking man with a darker side.
Hoversten’s arrest was made possible through community awareness and teamwork between departments. It brought relief after the chilling events of November 10, when he assaulted a woman at her workplace, forcing her into a back room before fleeing. The manhunt ended with his capture in Tyler, according to Irving authorities.
The Irving Police Department expressed gratitude to the Tyler Police Department for helping capture Hoversten, highlighting the strength of community and teamwork. Hoversten is now in Smith County jail, awaiting legal proceedings.
Irving Police are still asking for tips about Hoversten and his actions. Anyone with information can contact Investigator Hilton at 972-721-2754 or email[email protected]anonymously.
