The incident occurred at approximately 11:03 AM yesterday when a 22-year-old male motorcyclist attempted to perform a “wheelie” with a 34-year-old female passenger seated behind him. According to theSDPD Watch Commander’s Log, both individuals were thrown off the back of the motorcycle during the maneuver.
The pair were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The operator sustained a foot injury while the passenger suffered a fractured vertebrae, resulting in paralysis below the mid-back. Despite the grievous nature of their injuries, they have been determined to be non-life threatening. The SDPD Traffic Division was called in to investigate the accident scene thoroughly.
